AFT and summer in Door County

Yesterday I left Door County. It was a busy but great last week. But now the summer is officially over. Let the school year begin!!!

So far I’m having a very interesting day. Got up to help at the farm at 11 but never got a hold of my boss so I decided to drive by but she wasn’t there so I decided to go the park to paint. I got to the park around noon and I started painting the railings in the back of the theater. Then Dave came and was working on some stuff while I painted. I stopped painting at like 430 because I have to work at 6 and I have to still eat. So when I went to leave I spilled pop all over myself in my car so I got out of the car to find a napkin or towel which I was not successful with. So I poured water on my jeans now it looked like I peed in my pants. While that all happened tom pulled up haha kind of embarrassing! Then I left and now I’m at wild tomatoe for dinner.

:( 

It has been a great summer and I’m pretty sad to see it coming to an end!

Today I got up and helped Neen tape out the stage on plastic to make upcoming rehearsals easy. Before I went to do that I found ants in my cereal which made me so upset! After I helped Neen I came home to relax and now I have an hour to chill before I have to go to work. 

I’ve been very busy lately so I haven’t updated this in like 2 weeks.

My family was here two weekends ago and I have a really good time! My parents and sister, 4 cousins, and 3 aunt and uncles. We had a great time relaxing and swimming and shopping! It was so nice to see everyone!!!

That Monday after they left, the 8th was Zach’s birthday so we went bowling! It was a lot of fun and we got free bowling that night then Jamie and Tom came over after and they played music. It was a fun time.

The rest of last week was pretty much the same as most of my weeks. Except I worked on my set design for Comedy of Errors for next Spring! It was a good start.

Last Saturday there was a bbq at the farm, we weren’t planning on staying long but ended up staying till 5. It was so much fun though. A lot of people showed up and people I usually don’t hang out with so it was nice! We had hot dogs and marshmellows and so many snacks. It was great!

On Sunday my day off I relaxed for a bit and then made stuffed peppers for dinner. They were delicious! I also went for a swim and worked out a bit which I def. felt the next day. At night I went to the drive in theater to see Cowboys and Aliens and Captain America with Tom and Pamela. Surprisingly I liked both of them!

Monday I had a really bad morning! Then I went to the theater to paint which helped me clear my mind. After that I had like 2 hours before work so I took a nap in my car and then sat a picnic table off the beach and relaxed and read a little. After work Neen, Zach and I went to the bowling alley. I had an aweful game but it was a lot of fun regardless. It was nice hanging out with Neen and Zach. The bar closed early so we went to the AC Tap which I couldn’t stay at because I’m not 21 but I got to stay while we waited for a pizza that we ordered. It took about 45 minutes. It was a GOOD pizza!!! After that Zach and I came home, ate the pizza, and watched some movies that were on tv, it was a really good night!

Yesterday wasn’t anything special! I did have a phone meeting with my director for Comedy of Errors which I thought went well! Then I relaxed till work and after work we got pizza again from the Tap and came home and watched a couple episodes of That 70’s Show. Then called it a pretty early night.

I have been so bad with updates lately, I have had a very tiring week.

Sunday: My best friends Caitlyn and Dana came to visit on Sunday! They got here around 2ish and we went to the beach and just relaxed for a bit it was so nice! Then we went back to the house around 5:30 to change and get some money to buy groceries. We bought stuff to make pasta. It was delicious! We made pasta with creamy cheese roasted red pepper gravy and Dana and I put artichoke hearts in it. We also made garlic bread and I attempted to make garlic tomatoes but I burnt the plastic tray that I used because I didn’t know it was plastic. Oops! haha Then we watched The Glee Project, took some pics of the sunset, and we watched The Dilemma because Dana has never seen it. But I fell asleep to it.

Monday: We woke up around noon and we decided to go shopping. We went to Bargains Unlimited and I bought 4 records to decorate my room and I bought a movie. Then we went to Fish Creek to walk around and shop. That was fun and it was a beautiful day! Then we ate dinner at Cooper’s Corner in Fish Creek. I had a turkey bacon and avocado wrap and we had cheese curds. After we ate we walked around some more then got ice cream at Not Licked Yet. We also saw Josh working at Not Licked Yet. After that we went to the park and walked on the beach for about an hour before my call time at 6. The show went well and my friends liked it so that was good! After the show we went bowling with Zach, Dan, and Pamela came too. It was a lot of fun. I did awful the first game but I won the second game. I also got a free candy bar for picking up a spare and then another free candy bar for winning the game it was awesome! I also made $10 on various bets with Zach. Towards the end of the night we were the only people at the bowling alley and the bartender gave us free bowling which was awesome! And she told us we should come in on Monday’s more often because that is when she works. We left around 1:30 to go home and we were going to swim but that ended up not happening. We had some chips and salsa and we made margaritas it was a lot of fun! Until Zach fell into the bay when we were going to sit down on the dock. He is ok just a little banged up. It was a very very long day!!!!!!!!

Tuesday: Woke up at like noonish I think. We just chilled and we got a pizza then Caitlyn and Dana left to go home. The rest of the day was pretty chill I just hung out till work at 6. The show went well and it was pretty quick.

Wednesday: YMCA/Boys and Girls Club kids day. We had to be at the theater at 9:30. Long Day! Kids day was done at around 1:30ish then we had some snacks and went home to chill before call at 4. I felt like crap all day Wednesday! I had a splitting headache all day and it was so humid! I survived but I was dragging all day. We did get Sweetie Pies again which was awesome! After the two shows we went home and i relaxed then we watched a couple of episodes of That 70s Show which I fell asleep too.

Thursday: Left the house around 2 to go to Sturgeon Bay and Egg Harbor to finish rack cards. It went by really quick. Before we did Egg Harbor we stopped and picked up coffee for the theater and Neen called asking if we could go pick up a prop from her house in an hour. It was about 4:30 and our call was at 6 so we said that would be fine. When we were finishing Egg Harbor it was about 5:30ish. Meaning we had to drive all the way to Neen’s which was like 20 minutes away plus we didn’t eat yet. So Zach dropped me off at Good Eggs to get food while he went and picked up the prop. We also called Sarah (the stage manager) and told her that we were going to be a little late. It all worked out well. I ordered us sandwiches. Mine was delicious! (chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, pesto, onions, tomatoes, peppers, and spinach). We were only like 10 minutes late. Set up was pretty quick. It was a Lumberjacks day. The show had a bunch of little mishaps. First Doug went onstage without his mic on. I think he forgot haha. So we had to find his mic and get it ready for him to put on. Then we couldn’t find his mic pack. Also Chase’s guitar string broke and he might have cut his finger trying to replace it. Zach had to finish fixing it because Chase had to go on stage. Then the mic on Doc’s guitar wasn’t working. Everyone was trying to fix it but Josh ended up coming back and fixing it. What a fun show. Even though things went wrong it was kind of fun!!! haha. After the show I was exhausted so I came home and fell right asleep and was out by midnight.

Yesterday we had our first almost rain out. We set up for the first show but just the bare bunks. We didn’t put props out because it started pouring. So we went inside ate a great dinner and just waited for the rain to let up. Which it did eventually. When the rain let up we had to dry the stage and set the props at rain speed in order to start the show asap! 

We were also down a person because Emily was sick and went to the hospital.

Change over was quick! And the second show went by pretty fast.

I must say it was actually a kind of fun day! Even thought he weather sucked! I liked it.

My best friends Caitlyn and Dana are coming to visit me today! I’m so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

I’m going to miss the stars here when I go back to Milwaukee. They are beautiful. I can sit outside under the stars for hours. Last night I saw my first shooting star, it was amazing! And then I saw another 10+ after that. I was sitting out on the dock and Zach was singing and playing his guitar. What an awesome night!

Yesterday was a long day! I woke up at like 10 got ready and made myself an egg white omelette w/ red onion, black olives, and mozzarella cheese. It was delicious! Then Zach and I left at noon to drive around Sturgeon Bay. We got a lot done but we didn’t finish yet. There was a little market/shop thing going on in Sturgeon Bay so we took our break eating at one of the booths there. We got hot dogs and just sat on the bench and talked and people watched it was nice! Then I got a smoothie which was very good as well.

Then we drove back to the park and set up for Lumberjacks. It was an easy show. The show almost got called due to threatening rain! But the actors did a wonderful job speeding up the show so that we didn’t have to give out rain checks! We struck the show at lightning speed and we actually were in our cars before 10 which never happens!

After the show we went back home so that Zach could finish hw and I changed and freshened up! Then we went BOWLING!!!! I was super excited because we haven’t bowled since early last week. A bunch of people came too so it was a lot of fun! We played 3 games. I got 3rd out of 4 the first game and the second game I was loosing horrible but brought my score up and ended up winning with a 128. The last game was just Zach and I and we bet 22 to 1. Meaning if I won he would have to give me 22 dollars and if he won I had to give him 1 dollar. It was so close and I was kicking his ass at first but he ended up beating me because he got a strike and a spare in the 10th frame. 

We got home around 2:15ish and we started to watch That 70s Show but Zach fell asleep due to his 8 rum and cokes and 1 long island. So I went up to bed shortly after that. It was a fun day/night though! =]

This morning I got up around 10 and just chilled in my bed until I got up and started my laundry. I also talked to a friend on the phone for an hour which was nice to talk to her but under bad circumstances.  

Then I took a shower and got ready because I have a hair appointment at 2. I’m so excited I am finally getting my hair cut!

On another note. Today is a 2 show day and the weather doesn’t look too nice out. Hopefully it will be a good day!

After driving to Marinette, WI to drop off our neighbors car Zach and I drove all the way back. The trip took about 2.5 hours each way. On our way back we stopped in this little diner because we were starving. The food was pretty good and best of all it was super cheap! When we got back home it was about 3 I think. It was beautiful outside so I went for a swim which was really nice and then I went for a 40 minute walk leaving just enough time to get back home change quickly and then leave for work.

Yesterday was the first day we had to park in the beach lot. It is just a little farther away so we had to leave earlier for work. Work wasn’t the best yesterday because I was getting irritated by little things but nonetheless it was a good show. Set up was pretty quick and tear down was good but just a little weird.

When we got home we just relaxed for a bit and watched more That 70’s Show and went to bed around 1. Early night!

So this morning I am making $50 to drive my neighbors car to a marina in Green Bay. Actually Zach is driving his car because he is 21 and I am driving my car. Our neighbor is buying me gas before we leave and when we get there and we are both getting $50! Score! I love making easy money.

Yesterday was such and easy day! I slept in until noon and i just chilled and relaxed all day until work. It was nice to relax for once. 

Work was good. We started setup two people down because two of the interns were in Green Bay getting tatoos. We got done pretty quick which was good. Yesterday was a pretty full house I think around 600 and something people which is awesome! Tear down was pretty quick too.

After work we came home and Zach and I watched a couple of episodes of That 70s Show and then I went to bed because I had to be up early this morning.

So Sunday on my day off I went to Husby’s with Kelliann and Zach met us there with Neen’s phone. Since he was at the park he picked it up for us. Neen and her bf met us at Husby’s to pick it up. It was a nice dinner! I also wore my new dress which was exciting! After dinner we went home to chill for a bit.

Then I was talking to Tom online and we decided to go to the drive in. At the drive in was Harry Potter and Horrible Bosses. Harry Potter was great even though it started pouring in the towards the end of the movie and Tom and I were sitting outside on the bench. So we had to run to his car and we missed a big chunk of the movie which  kind of sucked. Then we watched Horrible Bosses from inside the car. It was a hilarious movie!!!

I got home around 1 after the movies and I just chilled and fell asleep on the couch.

Yesterday was the showcase of the show we have been working on in the workshop. It’s called Victory Farm. It went really well a lot of people came to see it and they got great feed back! It was sad that it was the last day but It felt very satisfying to be a part of something so great!

After the show I went home and relaxed for a bit then had to go to the park at 4. It was a 2 show day. It went pretty smoothly. Both shows went really well.

After work I came home and was on the phone for a bit and then I was going to go out with my boss but it was late and I didn’t want to call her too late so I ended up staying in and watching tv with Zach.

Then I went to bed eventually.

Today I slept it which was so nice! I got woken up by Kelliann knocking on my bedroom door because she came to do her laundry. So I woke up and have been up since 1 just chilling. 

I also got a phone call from Neen’s phone and i listened to the message and it was this guy. I guess he found her phone at the park she must have left it. So I called him back and talked to him and I told him I would come pick up the phone at the Fish Creek entrance of the park. I called Zach and asked him where he was if he could pick it up. His parents are here but he might go. If not I’ll have to get off my ass and go, not a big deal. But we will see.

Until then I’m just chilling and I’ll probably stay in all day since it just started storming =/
